The Gamma Delta Chapter of BEAUX, Inc., was founded on April 22, 1997 at the University of South Florida. Five "strong black men" came together to form the Gamma Delta chapter. These five pioneers are: Bro. James L. Garvin Jr., Bro. Mark O. Cunningham, Bro. Lester Lockett Jr., Bro. Emmanuel Auguste, Bro. Darrell G. Williams. The Gamma Delta chapter is the first male non-greek organization of its kind at the University of South Florida. Keeping true to the ideal of service, the Gamma Delta chapter has participated in Into the Streets, Cleaning the USF Botanical Garden, Red Cross, Hands on Tampa and many other service projects. The Gamma Delta chapter has also organized a car wash to send students to a Christian youth camp. During the Christmas season, Gamma Delta donated toys to several charities for needy children.
